Dr Rimante Ronto is a lecturer in Public Health and mixed methods researcher, within the School of Allied Health. Rimante's research interest is in public health nutrition field, in particular obesity prevention, dietary behaviours , food environments, food policy, food literacy, and nutrition education. She has recently finished her doctoral research project that focused on the role of food literacy in shaping adolescents' dietary behaviours. Rimante works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to increase healthy dietary behaviours mainly among school children through nutrition education and policy. Rimante has published findings from original research studies and several systematic reviews on food literacy and its impact on adolescents' dietary behaviours and social marketing interventions targeting increase of physical activity.
